Lisa Alleva has served in the field of Addictions and Mental Health for the past two decades. Originally from Delaware, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Delaware before relocating to South Florida to pursue a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. Once achieved Lisa worked with Victim Services in Palm Beach County, specializing in trauma, PTSD, and addiction. In the time since Lisa has earned a PhD in family therapy, serving the addiction and trauma population in her private practice as well as serving as clinical director in the substance abuse field since 2011.
A certified hypnotist, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) certified therapist, Lisa believes in meeting the patient at eye level, assessing and understanding the patient’s needs, accessibility, and motivation to ensure appropriate care by providing proven therapeutic interventions. She believes that behavior modification specifically designed to meet the patients needs while assessing thought processes, belief systems, and adverse behaviors lends to everlasting change.
